It is on the family-owned land of Larnage, situated at the heart of the hillsides of Crozes-Hermitage in the Rhone Valley that, from 1945, the history of Domaine Mélody took root. The variety of peach called Melody, then grown alongside the property's few hectares of vines, was the obvious choice for the name of the estate.

Created in 2010 by Marc & Marlène Romak, the 20 ha of the organically-farmed estate today spans the three terroirs of Crozes with their very distinct characters: the terraces of Les Châssis and the northern lands around the old castle of Larnage and Les Chaux. What makes the estate special? A gentle winegrowing approach and a specific winemaking style, between tradition and modernity, influenced by soils with complementary typicities, giving the vines and the wines elegance and finesse.

Perfect alliance of modernity and tradition, the cellar of Domaine Mélody is equipped with a temperature-controlled vat room designed for parcellary winemaking: gentle extraction techniques followed by ageing adapted to each cuvée for the red wines; long and gentle pressing and precise ageing for the whites which require patience. For this meticulous winemaking approach associating balance and complexity, Domaine Mélody looks towards new expertise to ensure that each terroir is expressed to the full.
