For you, m'ladies;
I will sing the Saint-Péray;
It is known as a ladies' wine,
That's how perfect it is.
The violet that it exhales
Makes the taste delicious,
And one can say that it equals
The nectar drunk by the gods.
The traveller of Saint-Péray, DESAUGIERS (1807)
The “Champagne of the South“
Jules VERNE
It seems to us that it [Saint-Péray] has an even more marked effect on the tongue. It cheers it, loosens it… and often makes it unreasonable. Everything is in the dosage. There is no point belittling it: it will always be the favourite, because nothing better represents the French character, always ready to go like the Saint-Péray, to smoke, sparkle and disappear.
Doctor FRANCUS
True happiness is within virtue, we are virtuous and God rewards us.
Be sure to taste this wine!
Alexandre DUMAS
The Appellation
An exceptional calcareous terroir at the foot of a rocky spur, a climate between north and south, two varietals with strong characters, an ancestral know-how…
Saint-Péray, a Rhone Valley terroir whose aura lights up the land of Ardèche which is as frank and sincere as its wines.
